Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and THE KLAAE (“we”, “us”). They cover the Like K. app and the likek.app website. By creating an account or using Like K. you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The Like K. app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your download and use of the app are also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If these Terms and the EULA conflict about the app itself, the EULA controls; for everything else — your account, your subscription and our service — these Terms apply.
1. What Like K. is
Like K. helps you learn Korean with video lessons, daily reading articles, Drama — short scenes you watch and then act out yourself — quizzes, vocabulary tools and speaking practice. Content is organised in levels; a short placement test at sign-up suggests where you start, and Drama episodes unlock in order.
Like K. is built for steady daily practice, so we may limit how much new content you can start in a day. We add, update and retire lessons, articles and episodes over time, so the exact content available to you can change. Like K. is a learning aid, not an accredited course, and does not issue certificates or recognised qualifications.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Like K. You can sign up with an email address, with your Apple Account or with your Google account.
You must be at least 13 years old — or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using online services or agreeing to terms. If you are under 18, please use Like K. with your parent’s or guardian’s consent.
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so tell us right away at support@likek.app if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Like K. Premium subscription
Full access to lessons, articles and Drama requires Like K. Premium, an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple Account. Monthly and annual plans are available.
Price. The price and billing period are shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm a purchase. Prices vary by country and are set in your local currency by the App Store. If we raise the price of an existing subscription, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If so, the trial length is shown before you confirm. Your Apple Account is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Eligibility for a trial is determined by Apple, normally once per Apple Account. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app, or deleting your Like K. account, does not cancel the subscription. We cannot cancel it for you.
Refunds. Because Apple processes the payment, refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Using our content
The lessons, articles, Drama episodes, video, audio, images, text, software and everything else that makes up Like K. belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Like K. for your own learning, for as long as these Terms allow.
Please do not: copy, download in bulk, redistribute, resell, publicly perform or make derivative works from our content; scrape or use automated tools on the service; share your account or let others use your subscription; try to circumvent access controls, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with the service; or use Like K. for anything unlawful.
5. Content you provide
You may add a profile photo and, in speaking practice, record your voice. You keep whatever rights you have in what you provide. You give us permission to process it only to provide the feature you are using — for example, to show your photo on your profile or to score your pronunciation. Voice recordings are not stored on our servers; see the Privacy Policy.
Only upload a photo you have the right to use and that is not unlawful or offensive. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
6. Accuracy of learning content
We take care to make our lessons, articles and Drama dialogue accurate and natural. Some material is drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed by Korean speakers. Even so, we do not guarantee that every explanation, translation or pronunciation score is error-free. Pronunciation scores are automated feedback to help you practise, not an assessment of your ability. Today’s Lucky Note is a daily message of encouragement for your studies, not advice of any kind.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Like K. running smoothly, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may carry out maintenance with or without notice. Where a change removes something you paid for, your remedies under Apple’s refund policy and your consumer rights are not affected.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). Deletion completes 30 days after you request it, and we email you when it is done. To cancel the request, sign in during that period and tap “Keep my account”. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your Apple Account settings first, or Apple may keep charging you. See How to delete your account.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue Like K. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.
9. Liability
Like K. is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Like K. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and nothing in these Terms takes those away.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Like K. after the change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

The free starter pack PDF and the tools on likek.app (such as the name-to-Hangul writer) are provided free of charge, as-is, for personal use. The Hangul rendering of a name is a friendly approximation, not an official transliteration.
